Fuji at Ink Block is the 10th restaurant to open under the JP Fuji Group portfolio and the first to make the City of Boston it's home. Nestled in the vibrant South End, Fuji at Ink Block reflects the subtle sophistication of its surroundings, while offering its residents a long-awaited contemporary Japanese menu crafted by the classically trained masterminds of JP Fuji Group.
The Fuji at Ink Block menu offers a variety of dining options from à la carte to Omakase to shareable combinations. Born from the culinary genius of Fuji Founder, CEO, and Chef Jimmy Liang and Executive Head Chef, Ming Cao the restaurant’s menu is designed to take the taste buds of sushi connoisseurs and novices alike on a deeply satisfying journey.
When you step through the door at Fuji at Ink Block, be prepared to indulge in traditional sushi classics, inventive makimonos, explosive stir-fries, and the best tasting menu in town.
The restaurant’s interior design concept brings glamour, sophistication, and elegance back to dining. It is a space where modern meets Japanese aesthetics, combining elements of wabi-sabi and mid-century details. The Bar glows a calming green, accented by gorgeous polished Black Serpentine stone and platinum and bronze colored glass backsplash, making it a place to energize after a long day or simply to catch up with friends. The Sushi Bar will relax you with muted tones. Features such as the limestone mosaics are reminiscent of origami with their folded creases, while the live-edge walnut wood counter ties in a natural aesthetic. This is a space that is vast yet intimate, seamlessly integrating eastern and western elements to create an extraordinary culinary experience.
The overarching goal for the Beverage Program at Fuji at Ink Block is simple; we strive to provide selections that are evocative of the quality and flavors produced by our talented Chefs. We use this culinary influence to craft a list of thoughtful, seasonally inspired signature cocktails. Our wines are diverse, and hand selected to pair with our cuisine. The majority of our white wines originate from the ‘Old World,’ wines with highly focused acidity and minerality to pair with our delicate sushi plates. Contrarily our reds are predominantly from the ‘New World,’ juicy, ripe and bold wines that are the perfect compliment to our spicy Sichuanese dishes. Our beer program is driven primarily by New England breweries, with a few notable exceptions from Japan and Europe.
Lastly we have a comprehensive sake collection, showcasing the myriad of different flavors, styles, and quality levels that sake is famous for. From the hot sake by the glass that we all know, to the most refined Daiginjo you may never have had the chance to try (and everything in between) there is something for everyone.
